					<description>Yes that will work but you are losing some of the buoyancy of the thicker tip of the peacock quill that will help support some of the weight when the fish picks up the bait.

I often use tungsten putty over a swivel as well!</description>

					<description>This is an excellent description on how to fish the lift method.

If I can't get hold of any quill I use a standard insert waggler and attach the hooklink using a swivel. I then add putty to the swivel until the waggler sinks slowly.</description>
